Have you ever had a day or a week when you just can’t quite get into the right rhythm of things? Well, it has been one of those weeks for me.
Everything felt off-center until … I found a bird nest with little baby birds in one of my hanging flower baskets on the front porch. Like a morning fog lifting off the lake, my world became clear and right again. Definitely a reinforcement that it’s the simple things that make a happy life.
The birds finding me brought into my mind one of the best Robert Frost poems, and I thought I would share. When out-of-sorts, think of this 🙂
DUST OF SNOW
The way a crow
Shook down on me
The dust of snow
From a hemlock tree
Has given my heart
A change of mood
And saved some part
Of a day I had rued.
