A look inside the business ...

5 Friends

Make sure you have yours July 21, 2024

I would like to introduce you to 5 very important friends of the Morning Ag Clips:

Reliability, Integrity, Authenticity, Teamwork, and Joy.

This group of five is considered our inner circle, the core. It is the team we go to at the Morning Ag Clips when we need a reminder of who we are and what our purpose is every day.  These 5 dig in, roll their sleeves up and get to work with us.

This spring, our team intentionally went through the paces of coming up with our Core Values.

The Core Values within a company are the clearly stated principles that everyone is aligned with. They guide the philosophy of how we treat our employees, customers, business situations, and the surrounding community.  I like to refer to them as our compass.

I am sharing this because I think it is important for you to know the company you are relying on every day to deliver your agricultural news.

Here’s my rundown on the five core values and why we believe they are important.

Reliability: You must be sure we will be there like clockwork every day. This is why we have the exact email send times for our Morning Ag Clips daily and are available to our communications clients all the time. One of us will either pick up the call, answer the email, or send the text.

Integrity:  We do things the right way, not the lazy way. Carefully and honestly, we care for you, our team, and the people in our lives. The moral compass wins every time, and I am very proud of that.

Authenticity:  It’s always been important to me to stay true to ourselves and what we like to do, sprinkled with our flavor as the Morning Ag Clips. We are not trying to chase down the ideas and copy our competitors.  When we speak at your table, you will hear what is in our hearts and woven into our grain.  It’s that simple.

Teamwork:  We do it together. Working together is really the best policy for problem-solving and getting the job done!  Part of that is knowing not one team member is ever trying to undermine another.  It’s not about ego; it’s about the good of the group and the mission.  This then filters down to all whom we deal with.

Joy:  This is an important one.  Whatever we do here, we must have joy.  JoJoyn being with each other, joy in doing a good job.  It’s important to be interested in life and enjoy it fully.  It’s about the little things.  We want to enjoy our time together and apart and do what makes us happy every day.  We spend a lot of time working during this lifetime.  If you aren’t going to work and love what you do and who you do it with–you should find another place to work.

Like any close friendship, these five deserve constant connection and tending to. The inner circle will listen, remind, and revisit old and new stories so we can learn and do better.

Friendships are never perfect, but if they are made of the right stuff, they withstand the test of time, by our side, and help us be the best versions of ourselves daily. They lift us and remind us of who we are, where we came from, and where we want to go…and then they get to work and help.

Here’s to our closest five friends at the Morning Ag Clips:  Reliability, Integrity, Authenticity, Teamwork, and Joy.

Cheers to the fabulous 5 for standing vigilantly beside us through our good days and bad.

Thank you friends.

With love,
Kate
