Something to Think About

Be better April 27, 2025

“You can’t solve a problem with the same mind that created it.”

Sometimes you need a little inspiration, a little lesson, a little…something.

Consider this to be your “something” today. This was a quote I heard from a speech given many years ago by Wayne Dyer. I stumbled onto it through Simon Sinek, someone I regularly follow.

The quote stuck with me.  So much so that I shared it with people in my circle throughout last week, and it made most of them stop in their tracks and think about it.

It’s the kind of quote that makes you change the direction of the gears running in your head.

We all have problems that we are trying to solve.  Many of our issues are recurring – always the same old thing. They may look different on the outside, but you dig into the root of the problem, and it’s about the same discord and disconnect that has been playing through most of your life. 🙂 (When am I ever going to learn?)

The reason the problem keeps coming back is that you may be approaching it and trying to solve it from the same frame of mind that created it.

Change that frame.  Look at it from a different perspective.  Get out of your brain and think like a different one.  Solve the problem differently.

Even if it feels incredibly obtuse, uncomfortable, and foreign, it may do the trick.

Food for thought, as you go through your week working, sitting at little league games, cleaning out your gardens, or taking the trash out.

“You can’t solve a problem with the same mind that created it.”

Have a great Monday, on the brink of turning the calendar to another month: May.

With love,
Kate
