While I have been busy trading in my Carhartt bibs for flip flops, life has just been happening in a very fast way.
I can’t believe that it has been 2 weeks since my last post..yes. I am still alive, doing my thing, all is well in Kateland. And to boot, you, the Morning Ag Clips audience has almost donated another full cow to my friend Jenny’s orphanage! Thank you…!
Back to fast… I just feel like I am moving at lightning speed. Does it always have to be this way? Out of control?
When I look back on my days I see a blur of lacrosse games and practice pick-ups, hastily done yard work, running back and forth to NH to open up a summer property, a string of year end concerts, an All-County band performance, Tyler drop-offs at the golf course, award ceremonies, FFA competitions and state convention.
Supper? What’s that?!?! Looks like Subway again guys.
Morning Ag Clips? Team? You got this? Thank you for keeping the ship steady while you watch my life spin around me.
As a survival tactic, I try, every day to remember that it is more important to my children that I look them in the eye and listen to them rather than run around the house cleaning. That a full course meal tonight doesn’t really matter in the big scheme of things. Vacuuming is a mute point, and really, the laundry can be stretched one more day.
So I am going to tip my hat to our new Kentucky Derby Winner, Always Dreaming… this horse knows what I am talking about when I say fast!
I am also going to say, Luke, you got this one right! Here’s to your Fast:
And then I am going to bring it back around and say, “Man, it’s just plain painful going from my Carhartt’s to flip flops! Sunglasses please!”
Enjoy your time, anyway you can. Find some mode of survival that works so that you can remind yourself about what it really important.
Life is moving fast. It always has, and it always will. And you never know when it is going to come to a screeching halt.
With much thought, and great love,
Kate
