“Remember, no man is a failure who has friends.”
This quote comes out of one of my all time favorite movies, It’s A Wonderful Life. I cry at the end every time I watch it. Friends are what give our lives character and zest. They pick us up when we are feeling blue, they walk with us, they laugh with us, and friends take care for us. And, the beautiful part about friendship is that it is mutual, it’s chosen. There is no failure in giving your friendship to someone. It says I need you, and you need me. We are in this life together, as long as our paths are traveling along the same road. Someday our paths may diverge as different stages of life come to pass, geography changes, or circles of community move on. But, for a time, we were together as friends, chosen to give to each other. There is no failure in that.
